Sunday Night Service Team
Purpose: to provide high quality meals and service to our guests (living Icons of Christ) at our Sunday evening meals.
People needed:
- Front door greeter (2)
- Interior greeter (1)
- Back door greeter (1)
- Clothing (1)
- Counting (1)
- “Kitchen” (4)
- Serving / Fellowship Staff (6 - 12)
- Orthodox Table (1)
- Team Leader (1)
- Door Knocking Team (2)
Total 20 -26 people
Notes: Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The ratio of teens to adults must be no more than 3 to 1.
Job Descriptions:
- Front door greeters
- Must be adults 18+
- Welcome guests
- Control the flow of traffic
- Count how many people come through the door
- Ensures volunteer teens and children don’t leave room
- Hand out information about meal
- Interior Greeter: Is stationed at hallway door
- Asks people to have a seat to be served
- Keeps doorway clear
- Helps people to their seats
- Back Door Greeter
- Helps any disabled people come in through backdoor
- Asks people to go to front door
- Alerts people to step up
- Ensures volunteer teens and children don’t leave room
- Clothing / Canned food
- Person helps people with picking out clothes
- Keeps kids from playing with clothes
- Puts out more clothing as needed
- Gives out bags
- Counter
- Counts # of Food, clothing and household items given away
- Counts # of plates served
- Orthodox Table
- Responsible for table keeping it clean & organized
- Must be able to answer questions about Orthodox faith
- Help people with prayer requests
- Kitchen
- Responsible for the plating and serving of food and portion management
- 1 person at each station

- Severing / Fellowship Staff
- Each server is responsible for 1 table (if short staffed 2 tables)
- They are responsible for setting, cleaning and resetting their table
- Server must greet the guest and ask what they would like to drink
- Server brings plate(s) of food to table
- If the order is asked to go, server gets foil cover from drink station for each plate
- The alternate server has the responsibility to sit and eat with people.
- The server and alternate staff trade places throughout the course of the meal

- Responsible for orientation and safety briefing
- Signing in volunteers
- Ensuring the safety of volunteers
- Must go through first aid training
- The overall flow of the evening
- The loading and unloading of the truck
- Door Knocking
- Must be adult male
- Must always go in pairs
- Is responsible for inviting guests to the meals
- Delivers flyers to the doors
- Delivers meals to shut-ins and those who need extra help
- Should have a FOCUS ID Badge
